Our mission
Stand For All Pittsburgh mobilizes the community of southwestern Pennsylvania to prevent, identify, and address bias and hate incidents to create safety, inclusion and belonging for all.
Stand For All offers a platform where people may learn about one another across cultural, linguistic, neighborhood, and demographic differences. The group shares information and develops relationships in service of bridging divides, and it stands ready to support one another in the face of discrimination and violence.
Stand For All Pittsburgh creates alliance and collaboration among community members, local and regional governmental agencies, faith-based organizations, businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations. The alliance provides support for community members who are targets of hate and bias, and it helps inform and mobilize the community to support residents who might be targeted by hate. The group builds trust to improve relationships among community members, across diverse groups, and between the community and law enforcement.
Activities we engage in
- Events to demonstrate the power of standing together
- Reporting mechanisms to better understand the state of hate in our region
- Trainings on effective ways to make our communities safer
- Convenings when tension exists to find common ground
- Support for anyone facing discrimination and violence
